Actors Websites

Actors’ websites and our top ten tips on putting together a personal website

  • If you’re not competent at designing websites have a professional do it for you, but shop around for quality and price.
  • Do not choose a domain name that may label you in a way that may be damaging. Preferably use your own name (or a derivative of it).
  • Make the design simple, professional and tasteful.
  • Make the website quick to load and easy to navigate.
  • Make it fast and easy to watch/listen to any videos/voice demos.
  • Include a downloadable copy of your headshot and biography in a commonly used format (eg. pdf or jpg)
  • If you include a place where visitors can post comments, keep an eye out for new comments and remove anything that may be damaging to you.
  • Do not reveal your home address or home telephone number on your website (only your email address and/or mobile phone number, or your agent’s contact information).
  • Edit the text and check for spelling and grammatical mistakes.
  • Update your website regularly and revamp the design every now and then.
